Who We Are The Central Okanagan Division of Family Practice is a physician-led co-operative of family physicians serving Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, and Peachland. We provide a unified voice for our members and collaborate with partners, including Interior Health and community organizations, to strengthen local primary care. Formed in 2010, our work focuses on improving patient health, supporting physician practice and well-being, and fostering a sustainable future for family medicine in the Central Okanagan. Our Vision Family medicine thrives, healthy communities flourish. The Central Okanagan Division of Family Practice includes family physicians from Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, and Peachland. Formed in 2010, the Division is a co-operative governed by local family practice physicians who identify areas to improve the care of patients with its members and work with partners towards solutions and results. - Patient Attachment and Panel Support | Central Okanagan Division
Patient Attachment & Panel Support The Central Okanagan Division helps family physician members attach patients to their panels and can provide ongoing support as panels change throughout different stages of practice. Patient Attachment Our Division is working with the provincial program called the Health Connect Registry to attach patients with a family physician in their local area. Committes & Working Groups Get Involved: Committees & Working Groups Shape the future of primary care in the Central Okanagan. Our committees and working groups are where physician members drive local solutions, advocate for the profession, and directly influence the programs and priorities of the Division. Division Committees These groups guide the internal work and strategic direction of the Division. 1. Climate Action Committee Focuses on environmental sustainability and climate resilience in healthcare, through practice change and advocacy. 2. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee Develops and promotes relevant learning opportunities and events for physician members. 3. Governance Committee Oversees the Division’s governance policies, board effectiveness, and strategic planning processes. 4. Finance Committee Provides fiscal oversight and guides the financial strategy of the Division.
