Update Your PAS Panel Information — Here's Why It Matters

With patient waitlists across B.C. now transitioning to the Health Connect Registry (HCR) as the province's single, centralized attachment waitlist, the Ministry of Health relies on PAS data, including provider panel and capacity information, for health system resource planning.

The registry gives the province a complete picture of primary care clinics and capacity across B.C. This information is used to identify care gaps and guide future planning. When your panel numbers are accurate, the Division can present the Ministry with a clear, credible picture of attachment capacity and gaps across the Central Okanagan, directly informing decisions about funding for additional resources, including PCN allied health clinicians and nurse practitioners.

What We're Asking of Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners

We're asking all Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners to review their PAS profile and confirm that it accurately reflects their current panel and capacity information.

Complete and accurate PAS data underpins provincial reporting, attachment gap tracking, and Ministry planning and funding decisions. Without accurate numbers, we risk under-representing the true need in our community, which weakens our ability to secure the additional support our clinics need.
