Revised FPSC Team-Based Care Grants Now Available
The FPSC has revised its Team-Based Care (TBC) grants, combining the former TBC and Minor Tenant Improvement (MTI) grants into a single grant with shared eligibility, application and payment processes. Family physicians can now access the funding directly through FPSC.
What the Grants Support
TBC Basic Grant: $15,000 per FTE, with a minimum of 0.2 FTE, to support the costs of adding a new interprofessional team (IPT) member.
TBC Clinic Expansion Grant: Up to $24,000 for construction or renovation of one room, with a maximum lifetime amount of $50,000 per clinic for two rooms.
Key Changes
TBC Basic Grant
A single payment replaces the previous three instalments.
Phase 2 Panel Management is no longer required.
Midwives are now an eligible IPT position.
TBC Clinic Expansion Grant
Physicians can apply directly to FPSC rather than through their Division. Apply online (login required).
Eligibility now includes all regulated health professionals and Indigenous wellness providers.
The minimum eligible IPT position is now 0.2 FTE.
Funding is available up to $50,000 for two rooms.
Payments are based on actual construction costs, using set funding ranges. View the grant ranges and payment amounts.
How to Apply
Eligible family physicians can apply for one or both grants and may seek pre-approval before proceeding with recruitment, hiring or clinic expansion/renovation. Pre-approval may be granted for up to one year.
