New Self-Guided Courses Available for LFP Physicians and Office Staff

The Family Practice Services Committee (FPSC) has announced that its fall LFP billing education webinars have been postponed due to recent changes to the LFP Payment Model and the transition of the Panel Payment methodology.

In the meantime, FPSC has developed two short, self-paced online courses to support physicians enrolling in the LFP Payment Model as longitudinal family physicians or LFP Locums. The courses are designed for both physicians and the office staff who support them.

LFP Payment Model: Module 1

This self-paced course, Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) Payment Model – Overview, helps longitudinal family physicians understand the LFP Payment Schedule, including:

• Eligibility and enrolment

• Key milestones

• Annual re-enrolment

• Withdrawal requirements

LFP Locums: Module 2

This course, LFP Payment Model: LFP Locums – Overview, helps LFP Locums understand the LFP Payment Schedule, including:

• Eligibility and enrolment

• Annual re-enrolment

• Time and interaction code limits

• Navigating business arrangements as an LFP Locum

Looking Ahead to 2027

FPSC hopes to bring back the full LFP Clinic-Based Education Series in spring 2027. In the meantime, the team will continue developing additional self-guided courses to provide practical support for physicians and office staff.
