The Advocacy Speaker Series: Realizing Change in Mental and Behavioral Health Policy, hosted by the University of British Columbia, continues with an upcoming session featuring Dr. David M. Clark, Emeritus Professor at the University of Oxford and a globally recognized leader in clinical psychology and mental health system transformation.
In this session, Making the Economic Case for Publicly Funded Mental Health Care in Canada, Dr. Clark will explore the evidence for investing in publicly funded psychological therapies. Drawing on his experience leading the UK’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) program, he will highlight how outcomes-focused, data-driven approaches can improve population mental health while strengthening system accountability and value.
